Architects Neil Palmer, and Froilan Palaci from Nyami Studio, London, UK, spent three weeks in Pono Village to build a school for the locals, using zero carbon environment friendly materials such as bamboo, lime and mud using sustainable building techniques pioneered by the Heritage Foundation. The structure was designed by the architects and all the materials are locally sourced. They are joined by faculty and architecture students from the US in a visit to Pono Village cluster.
